Last night, I visited the lovely Bytowne Cinema in Ottawa, for the very first time, to see the animated film The Triplets of Belleville. It's a nice old theatre with a balcony and was perfectly suited to this incredible film.
Until a few days ago I hadn't even heard of The Triplets of Belleville and I had no idea what to expect. It turned out to be an incredibly inventive and imaginative story with some of the best traditional animation I've ever seen. There must be about five lines of dialogue in the whole film, but the weirdly entertaining musical score, the screwy plot, and the dog barking carry it along smoothly. It's highly recommended viewing. Watch the trailer at Apple.

For the love of God, tell me where I can find it in the Montreal area. I am simply jittering trying to find it. Nowhere seems to list the showtimes in Canada, only in the United States. Help!
