A couple of days ago, we at silverorange launched a new website for Hampshire Pewter. It's been a great experience working with their company. This has been the latest in a series of sites for mid-sized east coast clients that handcraft fine wares. I think there's really something about working with people who understand fine craftsmanship in their own field that leads to a strong mutual understanding. Stop in at our office in a week or two to see a beautiful pewter Concord Oil Lamp sitting on the mantle in our boardroom!

Dan, I'm not sure if you guys noticed (although you should have, being on the Firefox visual identity team an' all), but, in Firefox, the text in left bar seems to extend over the edge of the bar. Doesn't do it in IE, though...
Known issue, unfixable, or something that slipped through the net?

Daniel, not Dan...
That's what I get for posting the same comment both here and at CEOBlues...

Steve, thanks for the heads-up. It's happened once to one of us here at the office but works fine for everyone else all of the time. We can't replicate it consistently, so we're not sure what's up.

I was gonna offer a hand replicating it, but it's fixed itself.
Magic Firefox goblins fixing sites when I'm not looking?
I blame a certain head of the visual identity team...

Ok, scratch that, I think I've found a consistent way of replicating it (on my machine, at least)...

Close all instances of Firefox.

Visit some random website or other.

Click the link on one of said pages to Hampshire Pewter.

Marvel at the out-of-column text.

If that doesn't work, maybe it's just that the site's got a grudge against me because I live in the real Hampshire.
If all that fails, feel free to contact me using MSN (stevie_bm@hotmail.com), Yahoo (stevie_bm), or AIM (steviethebm), or via e-mail to my Hotmail account.
As a large aside, what's SilverOrange's policy on recruiting?
I'm near the end of my Bachelor's degree, and, whilst I'm seriously considering doing a PhD, I'd also like to look into jobs, and am very tempted by the idea of being sliced... Should I just submit my CV/Resumé/whatever and take it from there, or what? Again, if you want to contact me via other means (or refer me elsewhere), by all means do...
I feel so cheap now.
