I'm flipped that early flags say so much about the founding of America, but we let creepy pundits and politicians argue until we forget. These flags teach.

I noticed the first colony of Massachusetts eagerly removed all the crosses from their first flag, of course urged by Roger Williams, a forgotten but critical founder of our nation too. [link]

Imagine the dedication and strength and hope under these flags.

That is interesting. I love when simplicity, meets quality, meets recognizable symbols. This captures that well. Have a good one.

That's very interesting! I hadn't seen that flag before! Thanks for the education!

Flags always have such interesting ideas, concepts and stories behind them. They should study flags in school, I'm sure kids would be fascinated with their history and all the colors and designs involved.

Thanks for the great introduction to the flag. Here in germany I have never heard something about the Metis.

I did not wake up today thinking I was going to learn about a rare and almost extinct Canadian flag but go figure I just did, thanks!
